What is a special economic zone and why entering it is so important for the project?

Special economic zone (SEZ) is some limited territory with a special legal status in relation to the rest of the state's territory that is a hub of innovative and high-tech enterprises.

The main goal of making such zones is addressing the issues of social and economic development of the state, some regions or industries. We have borrowed the practice of making SEZs from abroad. They started to appear on the territory of Russia in 2005 and nowadays there are over two dozens of them. To make the design and engineering department, the project "Duyunov's motors" aims at entering the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" ("Alabushevo" site).

Why? "Technolopis "Moscow" offers a whole range of advantages to its residents that allow to launch the innovative enterprise in the fastest and most financially profitable way:

- big power and engineering capacities

- presence of a specialized customs control point, logistics centre, storage facilities, convenient traffic interchange

- administrative, financial and tax incentives

- simplified procedure of interaction with the government agencies. The project team has done huge step-by-step work that stayed almost completely off scene..

The stages that the project has undergone on its way to entering the SEZ:

1. Coordination of the lot.

2. Preparing the documents (economic model, pre-project statement, project design documentation for the administrative and production complex, application).

3. Signing the agreement with a large financial company concerning additional funding if required.

The meeting of the SEZ commitee was put off several times due to circumstances beyond our control. But on December 17, 2018 Duyunov's project was finally approved for entering the SEZ. Now the documentation preparation is underway that will result in signing the agreement.

We once again congratulate all project investors and partners with this event! Currently the team is working on a number of preparatory activities for the next key stage in the project development - construction of the design and engineering department.
