Airships in jeopardy: how are gas leaks eating up the budget?

How can the problem of gas leaks in airships be solved? How can airship construction be made more cost-effective given the high cost of helium?

Fyodor Konstantinov, Head of Project Department at SOLARGROUP, shares his opinion on this issue.

"Today, innovative materials for airship shells are available. Even previous generations of materials made it possible to refuel an airship and not worry about leaks for at least a month. Gas leaks amount to only a few percent, Konstantinov noted. - Airships could become an ideal solution for transportation of liquefied helium to Asian countries. If we offer this service, we will be able to supply ourselves with helium at virtually no cost."
