The week results in the project "Duyunov's motors"

At the webinar that took place on Thursday, Dmitriy Duyunov summed up the weekly results and shared the latest news with the project participants.
There were a lot of important news to share:

1) The repair works in the winding area were completed. We started mounting and connecting the equipment. The area will start operating next week.

2) We finished fine-tuning the Epstein machine that can be used for checking the properties and quality of electrical steel. We are happy with the quality of domestically produced steel since it fully complies with the stated properties. Now the team is expecting the samples of electrical steel produced in China for testing and comparing and choosing the closest alternative for the Russian steel to produce the first batch of motors developed by "SovElMash".

3) We started dimensional testing of Siemens motors.
The preliminary results are very interesting, we'll tell you about them later.

4) A lot of efforts are being put into quality management to make the official sale of the inhouse-developed electric machines possible.
It's necessary to undergo motor certification, and that is possible only after making motor prototypes, preparing maintenance documentation and other accompanying documents to it.
Besides, the laboratory has to undergo external audit. All the necessary requirements are complied with, the documents have been prepared and submitted to the relevant bodies, we are waiting for the decision.

Quality management means not only creating a high-quality laboratory fitted with reliable equipment and having passed the external audit, but also the high level of the laboratory employees qualification and control over compliance with the current GOST (State Standards) requirements - both Russian and international.
This work is being done simultaneously. That's why the shipment of motors developed by "SovElMash" is right around the corner.
