What does ”SovElMash” need the laser equipment for?

The installation of the laser equipment is getting completed in ”SovElMash”. Meanwhile, there are questions from the project participants about its purpose.
Dmitriy Duyunov explains that the main purpose of this equipment is cutting electrical steel into plates that are used for making stator and rotor cores.
Laser makes the process of developing, manufacturing and testing production prototypes much simpler, since there is no need to order stamping tools for every plate standard size (which is expensive and time-consuming) and it gives us the opportunity to do that on our own.
Besides, the equipment is responsible for a range of useful manufacturing processes.
