Igor Korkhov visiting Mikhail Shkolnikov: looking at class IE4 Siemens motor

Meanwhile Igor shows where the induction drive with two motors and two controllers each setting in motion 2 wheels is located under the "Mercedes" hood. Especially for this electric car, Mikhail ordered new electric motors by one of well-known European brands -Siemens with the highest energy efficiency class IE4.

Igor Korkhov assessed the internals of one of the foreign motors marked with 100L that corresponds to the Russian size 90. After the visual analysis, Igor pointed out considerable size of the electric motor and thus, considerable production costs. In other words, in order to produce a high energy efficiency class motor, the producer uses a lot of iron and copper.

In the near future the motor kindly provided by Mikhail will be sent to "SovElMash" laboratory to find a similar motor with "Slavyanka" and conduct comparative tests.
