Work routine of "SovElMash": the partners from Belgorod and Formula Student

Important work processes continue at "SovElMash": induction electric motors of general purpose industrial type are being tested, the methods of operating test bench equipment are being refined.

One of the work days was remembered for the visit of the project partners from Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G.Shukhov who came to the laboratory to conduct testing and get specific performance characteristics of the "Slavyanka"-type winding motor purchased specially for the "Formula Student".
The "Formula Student" is a large-scale international project with over a thousand teams of students from all over the world as its participants. The main task of each team in the project is to model, build, test and then present a Formula class race car at the competition. Taking part in such a project is an excellent opportunity for talented and promising future scientists and engineers to show themselves.
The competitions are usually held in Europe.

For only one year the Belgorod team needs to engineer, assemble and present for the competition their own race car.
The team members annually presented a car with internal combustion engine at the competition but this year they have made a decision to create an electric car taking into consideration the world trends.
Among other alternatives, they have chosen "Slavyanka" thanks to its low cost alongside powerful performance.

The results of the first tests have lived up to the partners' expectations. The motor is in full compliance with the stated performance data.

We wish good luck to the team members in implementing their goals and ideas.
Follow our news in which we will tell about further tests and partnership.
