Trial start of test bench for hub motors

June 1, although the cooling system for the loading machine hadn’t been connected yet, the first trial start of the testing line for hub motors was conducted.

The first prototype of 318-size “Kolobok” was placed on the bench. So far it’s possible to give the hub motor only low torque to avoid overheating of the loading machine.

The main task now is to complete debugging of all the test bench hardware, define the software settings and the operational modes of the testing equipment in order to provide maximum accuracy of performance measurement.

After completing these tasks and connecting the cooling system,

the work on measuring the natural performance characteristics of the motor will start.

Evgeniy Duyunov said that very soon the long-awaited characteristics obtained in the process of testing the hub motors would be publicized.
