Project news from Dmitriy Duyunov

Yesterday's webinar introduced important news about the approval of the project application for entering the special economic zone. Apart from this long-awaited news some other significant events were announced:

1) In "SovElMash" laboratory we solved the problem of poor operation of Duyunov's motor based drive with the Curtis controller in start-up modes (previously there had been underperformance, dips, low torque build-up). In that context, we can say that the work on completing the specifications for the motors of size 318 and 186 is near completion, the team is moving to the stage of completing the testing procedures and methods. In this regard, we have started the second stage of talks with the potential partners interested in manufacturing hub motors at their own production sites. At the moment we are developing the procedure of legally competent documenting of partnership. According to Dmitriy Alexandrovich, there is reason to assume that in the first half of year 2019 the project will achieve the first actual results on mastering the production.

2) The team started configuring the controllers not only for low voltage, but also for voltage over 48 V, there will be 5-10 prototypes of these controllers.

3) We started testing the angle grinder with the re-engineered drive. The first tests disabled the gear reducer, we are looking for ways of solving this problem because the plan is to complete these tests by the end of the year.
