The new K-Cross motorcycle with DA-100S motor in action
Victor Arestov told about the performance features of the new motorcycle with DA-100S motor.
K-Cross motorcycle was made in partnership with Hydrogen Power Train Co. LTD, one of the founders of ASPP (Weihai) Technology Co. LTD.
The bike is quite comfortable for long trips. Its mass with the battery and no rider is 140 kg. The maximum speed is up to 100 km/hour with the battery providing not less than 200A.
For the record, the capabilities of the motorcycle (tank space and panniers) allow to increase the battery capacity five times which consequently increases the trip distance approximately 4 times.
Victor Arestov had several motorcycle test rides around Weihai.
The first tests showed that on even road surface the motorcycle consumed only 6 A at the speed of 20 km/h, at 30 km/h - 12 A, at 40-45 km/h - 15 A, at 50 km/h - 21-22 A.
When using a 42 A • h battery providing the current of 100 A or transiently up to 60 A, the motorcycle was capable of developing the speed of almost up to 90 km/hour.
It's worth mentioning that two-wheelers are not very popular in Weihai with its slopes and humps on the roads. However, motors modified using Duyunov's technology provide considerable acceleration that allows to counter-balance the problem of mountainous terrain.
As a result of a 12-kilometre trip it's possible to sum up the following: the battery allows to maintain the power well, the motorcycle runs uphill steadily and easily.
The battery reduced its voltage to 3.8 V, with the partial load controller settings it's possible to use 19.8 V more.
The consumption was 33.6 Watt hour per 1 km during normal trip with the maximum speed of 77.3 km/h, at the same straight line section.
Other road sections were at 50-60 km/h in regular traffic flow with almost no traffic jams, but with heavy five-lane one-way traffic.
Very soon it will be possible to facilitate such test drives on Moscow roads with the assistance of the show room of the project partners Motorized Systems.
