Testing BLDC hub motor Quanshun in “SovElMash” laboratory

The testing of Chinese BLDC motors continues in “SovElMash” laboratory.
This time the Quanshun motor with 48 V, 800 W performance features powered by a sine-wave Kelly controller is on the test bench.
Igor Korkhov has conducted the test and told about the peculiarities and the assembly quality of the tested sample.

During the tests, the focus of attention was on the efficiency performance of the hub motor at maximum RPM. At 24 N·m, we managed to get 80.8 % efficiency under the conditions of motor’s correct rotation (in the direction of vehicle motion). Then, as an experiment, we rotated the motor in the reverse direction (against the direction of vehicle motion). The obtained efficiency performance values are in marked contrast to the previous ones – they are much higher.
That’s what the special features of Chinese assembly are like!

Very soon, when the tests of the BLDC hub motor are over, the team will start the long-awaited tests of Duyunov’s induction hub motor.
