News from Victor Arestov: motor modification using Duyunov’s technology improved the energy efficiency class from IE1 to IE4
A 6-pole 50 Hz industrial motor with 2.2 kW power was tested.
The original motor had 79% efficiency and complied with the energy efficiency class IE1.
After modifying the motor using Duyunov’s technology the efficiency amounted to 87% which corresponds to the energy efficiency class IE4.
For your information:
According to the international standards, currently there are four classes of motor energy efficiency:
IE1 - standard
IE2 - high
IE3 – premium
IE4 – super premium
IE means «International Energy Efficiency Class».
It is important to know that going from class IE1 to IE2 and IE3 cost millions of dollars for companies and not all companies have managed to go to IE4 yet.
Victor Arestov: "Without changing the motor size, using a standard IE1 motor, we can make "Super premium efficiency" motors, with no need to change the production lines. Such motors can be further used in the same machines and units but consuming much less electrical energy. And these motors can be produced at the cost of old IE1 efficiency class motors. As a result: on the one hand – profit and saving money for the manufacturer, on the other hand – profit for the consumer in terms of saving electrical energy and the motor purchase price".
