Live impressions from testing the motorcycles with DA-100S in China
Dmitriy Dzhumok, an engineer from Minsk and longtime acquaintance of Victor Arestov and Igor Korkhov, visited "SovElMash" laboratory in Zelenograd.
Not so long ago he got back from China where he had taken part in assembling and testing the K-Cross motorcycle with Duyunov's motor.
Watch the interview with Dmitriy in which he is sharing his impressions from the ride!
Dmitriy Dzhumok is a qualified electrical engineer. He's been interested in alternative energy sources and electric drives for vehices for a long time.
Recently he has happened to visit Victor Arestov's enterprise in China - ASPP Weihai. There he modernized two petrol motorcycles to electric ones by equipping them with Duyunov's motors DA-100S and ASPP Weihai controllers.
Dmitriy dealt with the "Slavyanka" winding motors for the first time. After modernizing the motors, together with Victor Arestov he tested the motorcycles in urban settings.
They took a tour ride around Weihai covering around 60 kilometres in total. The ride took less than half of the 53 Ah battery charge.
The acceleration and dynamics won admiration. From the very first try — up to 96 km/h. The motorcycles developed 60 km/h during the first 3-4 seconds, thanks to that Dmitiry and Victor were the first ones to start off at the traffic lights leaving cars far behind.
Dmitriy was also impressed by the fact that when decelerating there was no natural braking and the motorcycle continued to coast. He also gave a high rating to the nice and not overwhelming motor sound.
The trip to China made Dmitiry a dedicated fan of Duyunov's motors. He went back home to Minsk with a DA-100S motor, set ASPP Weihai controller and firm intention to assemble an advanced motorcycle for himself.
