Duyunov's motor as part of Denzel Tornado e-bike
In China the Denzel company together with Victor Arestov is testing a 6-pole DA-100S motor based on the combined winding technology “Slavyanka”. At the moment the motor is being prepared for mass production.
The latest motor tests were held on Tornado motorcycle manufactured by the Denzel company.
Input data:
- Motorcycle weight 120 kg
- Battery - 42 Ah 72 V
- In-vehicle monitoring system restriction – 100A
- Motor rated power - 5 kW
- Peak power – up to 15 kW (preliminary estimates)
The estimated power values are given here, more accurate performance data will be obtained after testing the motor in Zelenograd.
With the in-vehicle monitoring system restriction of 100A, the motorcycle managed to develop the speed of 87.4 km/h on the road section with 4.6% ascent.
20 minutes after the testing ended, the motor temperature wasn’t higher than 32 degrees with the air temperature of 11 degrees.
According to the preliminary estimates, with the even road and good battery, Tornado is capable of developing the speed of 95 km/h.
But the motor with such power values requires an appropriate battery.
In the course of testing we had to hold back on the revolutions so that the current wouldn’t exceed 100A. But still the battery went off after the current of 113A stayed for 10 seconds.
The indicator of good performance efficiency was the fact that the motor almost didn’t overheat at quite high current values.
Victor Arestov says that at the moment a batch of motors and controllers is being prepared for shipping to Moscow. This lot will also contain several DA-100 motors for conducting tests in Zelenograd laboratory.
