"Slavyanka" and mining electric locomotive "Era"
One of the famous cases of using "Slavyanka" technology and graphic examples of its efficiency is the experience of applying an induction motor with combined winding for the mining electric locomotive "Era".
In December 2013 the specialists of Research and Production Enterprise "Energiya" (Donetsk) equipped the electric locomotive with "Slavyanka"-type combined winding induction motor instead of the standard DRT-13 motor as well as using a Сurtis controller.
Before changing the motor, the electric drive with the induction motor 4AMU160 with 11 kW power pulled five trolleys with coal, and after mounting the motors modernized using Duyunov's technology the electric drive was capable of pulling 11 trolleys, moving uphill included. Transporting 100 tons of coal, the motor didn't overheat and maintained standard temperature despite the two-fold load increase.
The speed of electric locomotive after changing the electric motor was 12 kilometres on even surface and 7 kilometres uphill.
Thus, Duyunov's development increased workforce productivity of Donetsk miners two times alongside considerable reduction in energy consumption. The specialists also noted a considerable decrease of high-frequency harmonics and reactance in public utility service electrical grid that powered traction and step-down substations.
The generalized results of this test are shed light on in a series of publications by Dmitriy Duyunov and his co-authors. One of them is available here in Russian - https://clck.ru/FtYi9
